Amplitude analysis of B+J/ψϕK+ decays

R. Aaij et al. (LHCb Collaboration)

Phys. Rev. D 95, 012002 (2017) - Published 11 January, 2017

The LHCb collaboration has identified four new structures in B+ decays that are likely to be tetraquark states. These tetraquark systems contain neither of the light u and d quarks.

Search for proton decay via pe+π0 and pμ+π0 in 0.31megaton·years exposure of the Super-Kamiokande water Cherenkov detector

K. Abe et al. (Super-Kamiokande Collaboration)

Phys. Rev. D 95, 012004 (2017) - Published 6 January, 2017

Proton decay is not allowed in the Standard Model but is a signature prediction of Grand Unified Theories (GUTs). The Super-Kamiokande Collaboration reports results from its rigorous search for proton decay in two channels. The non-observation of proton decay sets new lower bounds on the proton lifetime and imposes stringent constraints on possible GUT and other Beyond the Standard Model scenarios.
