Urs received a diploma in physics at the ETH Zürich and a Ph.D. in theoretical high energy physics at Rutgers University. He held postdoctoral research positions at the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, at CERN, and at the Institute for Theoretical Physics at UCSB. Afterwards, he was a research scientist at Florida State University, working in lattice QCD, before joining PRD in 2002.

Mirjam received her Ph.D. in physics from the University of Maryland in 1981. After a post-doctoral fellowship at SLAC at Stanford University, she moved to the University of Pennsylvania where she is now a Fay R. and Eugene L. Langberg Professor of Physics and holds a secondary appointment in the Department of Mathematics. Her research efforts span from leading work in string theory compactification and its particle physics implications to important work in quantum gravity consequences of string theory. She is an APS Fellow (2001), a recipient of the University of Maryland Physics Distinguished Alumni Award (2007), the Siemens Research Prize by the Humboldt Foundation (2020), and she has been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Science (2023). She has served as an editor for Physics Letters B and now leads PRD.

In addition to fulfilling his responsibilities as an editor for Physical Review D, Rashmi is a long term visitor at the physics department of the City College of New York, where he maintains active research in theoretical physics. |

Philip Chang, Associate EditorUniversity of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, USA Philip Chang is Professor of Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He received his Ph.D. in physics in 2005 from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a former Miller Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley and has been awarded the NSF Early Career Award. His major research interests are computational astrophysics with an emphasis on numerical methods as applied to dynamical stellar interactions. |

Cecilia Chirenti, Associate EditorUniversity of Maryland, USA Cecilia Chirenti is an Associate Research Scientist at the Department of Astronomy, University of Maryland. She obtained her Ph.D. in 2007 from the Institute of Physics, University of São Paulo, working on linear perturbation theory applied to General Relativity. She was a Humboldt Fellow, a Max Planck Partner Group leader at the Federal University of ABC in Brazil (where she held a faculty position for more than a decade before moving to the University of Maryland in 2020), and a Simons-Emmy Noether Fellow. Her research interests include astrophysical compact objects, tests of General Relativity, gravitational waves and their electromagnetic counterparts. |

Jason Evans, Associate EditorAmerican Physical Society Jason received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 2009 and subsequently held research positions at the University of Tokyo’s IPMU (2009–2012) and the University of Minnesota’s FTPI (2012–2015). He served as an Assistant Professor at the Korea Institute for Advanced Study from 2015 to 2019 before joining the Tsung-Dao Lee Institute at Shanghai Jiao Tong University as a T.D. Lee Fellow. His research focuses on grand unified theories, ultralight dark matter searches using precision measurements, the strong CP problem, and cosmological relaxation mechanisms addressing naturalness and tuning challenges. |

Aurélien Hees, Associate EditorObservatoire de Paris, France Aurélien received his Ph.D. from the Université Catholique de Louvain in 2012, working on characterizing observational signatures from modified gravity. After holding three postdoctoral positions at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Rhodes University and the University of California Los Angeles, he was appointed a CNRS research position and joined the SYRTE laboratory from the Paris Observatory in 2018. His research interests include modified gravity, experimental tests of general relativity in the lab, at Solar System scales and around our Galactic Center, gravitational waves, searches for ultralight dark matter and high accurate relativistic modelling of space missions and astrometric observations. |

Christopher Herzog, Associate EditorKing’s College London, United Kingdom Christopher Herzog is a professor in the Mathematics Department of King’s College London. Previously, he held faculty positions at the Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics at Stony Brook University and in the Physics Department at Princeton. He received his Ph.D. from Princeton in 2002, where his advisor was Igor Klebanov. Much of his research has been devoted to studying AdS/CFT Correspondence and more generally gauge/gravity dualities. He would like to find a way of understanding strongly interacting field theories, for example QCD at low energy, using string theory. More recently, he has been investigating the role of defects and boundaries in conformal field theories. He was a Sloan Research Fellow, a recipient of a CAREER award from the NSF, and a Royal Society Wolfson Fellow. |

Andrzej Hryczuk, Associate EditorNational Centre for Nuclear Research, Poland Andrzej Hryczuk earned his Ph.D. in physics in 2012 from the International School of Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Trieste, Italy. He then completed post-doctoral fellowships at the Technical University of Munich and the University of Oslo. Since 2018 he has been a faculty member at the National Centre for Nuclear Research in Warsaw, where he currently serves as an Associate Professor. His research focuses on theoretical astro-particle physics, with a particular emphasis on studying the nature of dark matter from a broad range of theoretical perspectives. Andrzej became an Associate Editor for PRD in 2026. |

Rajeev Jain, Associate EditorIndian Institute of Science, India Rajeev is an Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Science. He received his Ph.D. in theoretical cosmology from Harish-Chandra Research Institute in 2009. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Geneva, Switzerland and the Centre for Cosmology and Particle Physics Phenomenology, Denmark. His research work spans a wide array of topics in early universe cosmology, including inflationary dynamics, generation of cosmological perturbations, non-Gaussianities, primordial black holes, dark matter and gravitational waves. He is a Visiting Associate of ICTP, Italy and a member of the LISA consortium. Rajeev joined PRD as an Associate Editor in 2024. |

Andrew Larkoski, Associate EditorAmerican Physical Society, USA Andrew earned his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2012. After post-doctoral researcher positions at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and then Harvard University, he taught at Reed College for five years, during which he also published undergraduate textbooks on particle physics and quantum mechanics. He held research positions at SLAC National Accelerator Lab and University of California, Los Angeles, before joining PRD in 2025. His research interests are in the field of theoretical particle physics, with a particular emphasis on quantum chromodynamics phenomena at high-energy collider experiments. |

Joel Meyers, Associate EditorSouthern Methodist University, USA Joel Meyers is an Associate Professor of Physics at Southern Methodist University. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 2012 under the supervision of Steven Weinberg, after which he worked as a senior research associate at the Canadian Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics before joining the SMU faculty. His research lies in theoretical cosmology, where he uses observations of the cosmic microwave background and large-scale structure to investigate fundamental questions about dark matter, the early universe, and the properties of neutrinos. |

Enrico Ramirez-Ruiz, Associate EditorUniversity of California, Santa Cruz, USA Enrico Ramirez-Ruiz is a Professor and the Vera Rubin Presidential Chair of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC). He is a theoretical astrophysicist with interests in a wide variety of problems, including black holes, gravitational wave sources, plasma astrophysics, and galactic chemical evolution. After studying at the University of Cambridge, he was the John Bahcall Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. Since joining the UCSC faculty in 2007, Ramirez-Ruiz has won a number of awards for his research, including a Packard Fellowship, NSF CAREER Award, the Niels Bohr Professorship, the Edward A. Bouchet Award (APS), and the HEAD Mid-Career Prize (AAS). He is a fellow of the Mexican Academy of Sciences, American Physical Society, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. |

Eleonora Troja, Associate EditorUniversity of Palermo, Italy Eleonora Troja received her Ph.D. in Physics and Astronomy in 2009 at the University of Palermo, Italy. After more than a decade at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, she returned to the University of Palermo as a full Professor. She is a recipient of a European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator grant supporting her research on cosmic explosions. Her scientific contributions focus on gamma-ray bursts, fast X-ray transients, and the electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational-wave sources, with particular emphasis on neutron star mergers and kilonovae. Her discoveries have been recognized with major honors, including NASA’s Silver Medal in 2017 and Exceptional Scientific Achievement Medal in 2021. |

Panayiotis Tzanavaris, Associate EditorAmerican Physical Society, USA Panayiotis obtained his Ph.D. from the Institute of Astronomy, University of Cambridge, and has worked in Australia, Greece, and the US.
