The XENON Collaboration presents the final results from dark matter searches with the XENON100 detector. Upper limits of the spin-independent and spin-dependent WIMP-nucleon cross sections as function of the WIMP mass, between 8 and 1000 GeV/c^2, are obtained and compared with the results from other experiments.

The kinematic Sunyaev-Zel’dovich effect produces a CMB temperature change caused by Compton scattering of CMB photons by free electrons. The authors use this probe of the large-scale electron distribution to measure the cosmic baryon distribution and ionized gas abundance, which can be used e.g. to detect the “missing baryons” assumed to reside in the \emph{Warm-Hot Intergalactic Medium}.

This paper presents a new approach to computing the vacuum polarization of a scalar field in static, spherically symmetric backgrounds in odd dimensions. The novel approach is in expanding the two point function in Fourier modes, thereby enabling a mode by mode subtraction of infinities and a rapid convergence of the series.
