Relativistic corrections to J/ψ polarization in photo- and hadroproduction

Zhi-Guo He and Bernd A. Kniehl

Phys. Rev. D 92, 014009 (2015) - Published 7 July, 2015

Heavy-quarkonium states such as the J/ψ meson can be approximately treated as a nonrelativistic system. This paper presents the first relativistic corrections to the J/ψ polarization in photoproduction and hadroproduction processes. The corrections were found to be appreciable, which might shed light on the J/ψ polarization puzzle.

Spectral representation for u- and t-channel exchange processes in a partial-wave decomposition

M. F. M. Lutz, E. E. Kolomeitsev, and C. L. Korpa

Phys. Rev. D 92, 016003 (2015) - Published 15 July, 2015

Analyzing final state interactions in scattering processes in the non-perturbative regime of quantum chromodynamics (QCD), such as the hadron resonance region, is difficult. Using the analytic structure of partial-wave amplitudes derived from u- and t-channel exchange diagrams in 2->2 scattering, the authors put forward a systematic procedure for understanding the final state interactions in hadron processes.
