As a leader in the physics community we recognize that APS has a responsibility to stand firm in upholding our organizational values of “Diversity, Inclusion, and Respect”. This includes developing and supporting an equitable environment that is both welcoming and brings awareness to challenges of race within the physics community. APS will continue to support these efforts through programs, policies, and directed activities.

In the following special collection from Physical Review Physics Education Research, authors examine and highlight racial diversity, specifically how Black physicists and people of color navigate within the physics community at large.
