Eric Brewe, Chief EditorDrexel University, USA Eric Brewe is a Professor of Physics and Science Education at Drexel University. Much of his research into the teaching and learning of physics at the university level is focused on the Modeling Instruction method. Dr. Brewe publishes frequently in PRPER and has received significant external funding to support his research. He is an APS Fellow and has served as Chair of the APS Education Policy Committee, Chair of the APS Topical Group on Physics Education Research, and Chair of the APS Forum on Education. |

Boyana Konforti, Managing EditorAmerican Physical Society, USA Boyana Konforti is a Ph.D. scientist and strategic leader dedicated to advancing open science and creating more equitable access to scientific knowledge. Most recently, Konforti served as Director of Strategic Initiatives at Taylor & Francis/F1000, where she championed the "publish, then review" model and fostered partnerships to make scientific communication more transparent and inclusive. Previously, she held senior leadership roles at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, where she worked directly with the president's office on strategic initiatives integrating science and education, and at the Simons Foundation, where she founded and directed the Education & Outreach program and created Science Sandbox — an initiative to make science part of culture and unlock scientific thinking in everyone. Her editorial career includes launching Cell Reports, the first open access journal at Cell Press, and serving as Chief Editor of Nature Structural & Molecular Biology. She holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University and completed postdoctoral fellowships at Rockefeller University and Columbia University. Konforti co-authored the textbook "The Molecules of Life" and currently serves on the boards of Knowledge Futures and Columbia World Projects. |

Paula Heron, Associate EditorUniversity of Washington, USA Paula Heron is a Professor of Physics at the University of Washington. She holds a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Heron investigates the development of conceptual understanding and reasoning skills and is a co-author on the upcoming 2nd Edition of Tutorials in Introductory Physics. She co-chaired the APS/AAPT joint task force that produced the PHYS21 report and co-edited the upcoming International Handbook of PER. She is a Fellow of the APS, a co-recipient of the APS Education award, and recipient of the Homer Dodge Citation for Outstanding Service to the AAPT. |

Rachel Scherr, Associate EditorUniversity of Washington, Bothell, USA Prof. Rachel Scherr is an Associate Professor of Physics at the University of Washington, Bothell. Her current research interests include experimentation-focused introductory physics labs and faculty professional development, with an emerging interest in pluralist-oriented pedagogy for quantum mechanics and other physics topics. Prof. Scherr has advanced physics education research as a conference organizer, as a doctoral student advisor, and through community governance. She became a fellow of the American Physical Society in 2017 “for foundational research into energy learning and representations, application of video analysis methods to study physics classrooms, and physics education research community leadership.” |

Ana Sušac, Associate EditorUniversity of Zagreb, Croatia Ana Sušac is an Associate Professor at the University of Zagreb, Croatia, where she received her Ph.D. in biophysics. Alongside her brain research studies using neuroimaging methods, she has been actively involved in physics education research since her student days. She studies students’ conceptual understanding of physics at the high school and university levels, scientific reasoning, and the role of mathematics in physics teaching and learning. In addition to standard methods in physics education research, she extensively uses eye tracking to gain deeper insights into students' cognitive processes. |
