Diagram (a) shows a possible production mechanism for the exotic baryon Θ+, which has the quark structure uudds̄; diagrams (b)-(d) are background processes. A new experiment by the CLAS Collaboration observed a narrow S = +1 state at 1.555 GeV in the reaction ˠp → π+ K- K+ n, providing additional evidence for this new baryon.
