Selective Measurement of Wave-Function Amplitudes of Electrons on Specific Orbits on Fermi Surfaces

Abstract
A method of determining wave-function amplitudes on different sheets of the Fermi surface of pure metals through de Haas-van Alphen type oscillations in the Knight shift is given. Experimental results and an analysis for Cd are presented.
