Patrick Charbonneau is Professor of Chemistry and Physics at Duke University. Originally from Montreal, he obtained his Ph.D. in chemical physics from Harvard University in 2006, and was then a Marie-Curie Fellow at Amolf, in Amsterdam, before moving to Durham in 2008. His research in soft matter and statistical physics combines theory and simulation to understand the glass problem and microphase formation. A science history enthusiast, he also pursues various projects on that theme, notably as a member of the Women in the History of Quantum Physics working group. He is a fellow of the American Physical Society.

Olivier DauchotESPCI Paris, France Olivier Dauchot, is a CNRS Research Director, Head of the Gulliver laboratory, at ESPCI-Paris PSL. His research includes analysis and applications of nonlinear partial differential equations and lattice equations for propagation of nonlinear waves and coherent structures. He has made outstanding contributions to the theory of stability of nonlinear waves and dynamics of integrable systems by combining physical intuition, numerical explorations, and rigorous mathematical methods. His research has been recognized by the Humboldt Research Award in Germany (2020) and the chair-en-excellence award in France (2014) to name a few. He is the Editor-in-Chief for Studies in Applied Mathematics since 2020 and the Deputy Editor-in-Chief for Physica D since 2021. |

Mason PorterUniversity of California, Los Angeles, USA Mason earned a B.S. degree in Applied Mathematics from Caltech in 1998 and a Ph.D. from the Center for Applied Mathematics at Cornell University in 2002. He was a postdoctoral scholar at Georgia Tech, the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute, and Caltech before joining the faculty in the Mathematical Institute at University of Oxford in 2007. Marisol RipollForschungszentrum Jülich, Germany Marisol Ripoll is a Senior Group Leader in the Theoretical Physics of Living Matter division at the Institute for Advanced Simulation, Forschungszentrum Jülich. She received her Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the Spanish Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) in collaboration with Utrecht University. She joined Forschungszentrum Jülich as a postdoctoral fellow, where she was awarded a Young Investigators Group grant and later received her habilitation from the University of Cologne (Universität zu Köln). She has been named an Outstanding Referee by the European Physical Society on three occasions.
