Abstract

Sznajd-Weron [Phys. Rev. E 82, 031120 (2010)] suggested that the one-dimensional Ising model subject to the zero-temperature synchronous Glauber dynamics exhibits a discontinuous phase transition. We show here that the phase transition instead is of a continuous nature, and we identify critical exponents, β0, ν1, and z2, via a systematic finite-size scaling analysis.

  3. Although not shown here, we have confirmed that the magnetization and its Binder’s cumulant, the staggered magnetization and its Binder’s cumulant, and the Binder’s cumulant for ρst all show good quality of finite-size scalings with the values Wc=0.5, β=0, and ν=1.
