Muon g2 and α(MZ2): A new data-based analysis

Alexander Keshavarzi, Daisuke Nomura, and Thomas Teubner

Phys. Rev. D 97, 114025 (2018) - Published 25 June, 2018

A theoretical reevaluation of the muon’s magnetic moment gives the highest precision prediction so far, while doubling down on a discrepancy with experiment.

Color glass condensate formalism, Balitsky-JIMWLK evolution, and Lipatov’s high energy effective action

Martin Hentschinski

Phys. Rev. D 97, 114027 (2018) - Published 26 June, 2018

For high-energy physics at small ‘x’, i.e. without relatively hard processes, both Lipatov’s effective action and the Color-Glass Condensate formalism have been developed. In this paper the authors find a link between the two, demonstrating that quark and gluon propagators used in the latter theory can be derived from Lipatov’s approach. They also confirm that the Reggeized gluon may be viewed as the logarithm of an adjoint Wilson line.

Rotor spectra and Berry phases in the chiral limit of QCD on a torus

N. D. Vlasii and U.-J. Wiese

Phys. Rev. D 97, 114029 (2018) - Published 28 June, 2018

Finite volume spectra of mesons in sectors with baryon number zero and one and different isospin, computed in the chiral limit in chiral perturbation theory, shed light on the dynamics of chiral symmetry breaking in QCD. A Berry gauge field with an intriguing connection to Yang-Mills-Chern-Simons theory plays an important role in the analysis.
