Deconfinement as an entropic self-destruction: A solution for the quarkonium suppression puzzle?

Dmitri E. Kharzeev

Phys. Rev. D 90, 074007 (2014) - Published 2 October, 2014

David Curtin, Rouven Essig, Stefania Gori, Prerit Jaiswal, Andrey Katz, Tao Liu, Zhen Liu, David McKeen, Jessie Shelton, Matthew Strassler, Ze’ev Surujon, Brock Tweedie, and Yi-Ming Zhong

Phys. Rev. D 90, 075004 (2014) - Published 13 October, 2014

The authors provide a thorough survey of exotic decay modes of Higgs particles and show that existing and future experimental data on these decays can be a powerful means of identifying new weakly coupled particles and constraining models of new physics.

Parametrically enhanced hidden photon search

Peter W. Graham, Jeremy Mardon, Surjeet Rajendran, and Yue Zhao

Phys. Rev. D 90, 075017 (2014) - Published 20 October, 2014

A new species of massive photons that mixes with ordinary photons is a popular scenario for beyond the standard model physics. The authors show that the emission of the longitudinal components of these “hidden sector” photons is enhanced relative to the transverse components, and, as a result, already existing experiments can set better limits than previously realized.
