Abstract

A simple model combining vector dominance, SU(3) symmetry, and the ωφ and ηη mixing hypotheses is in reasonable agreement with all measured electromagnetic decay rates of neutral vector and pseudoscalar mesons. In particular, this model predicts the width of the η meson to be between 0.7 and 1.7 MeV.
