Energy Dependence of the Average Charged-Particle Multiplicity in Hadronic Collisions

Abstract
Previous results pertaining to the growth of the pion-production cross section at 90° in the center-of-mass frame are used to infer the dependence of the charged-particle multiplicity on the momentum of the projectile particle.
