Abstract

A lower bound on λ+ is derived under the assumption that the chiral SU(2) × SU(2)-breaking correction term to the soft-pion theorem in Kl3 decay is positive. We adopt earlier estimates of phenomenological parameters by Okubo and obtain λ+0.05.
