Anomalous commutators and functional integration

Abstract
We derive a method for the calculation of commutators within the functional-integral formulation of quantum mechanics. Anomalous terms in commutators are expressed in terms of the transformation properties of the functional-integral measure. As an application we compute some commutators for the case of the chiral Schwinger model and for chiral QED in 3+1 dimensions.
