Regge Cuts in the Van Hove Model: Pion-Nucleon Forward Charge-Exchange Scattering

Abstract
A Regge pole-cut model based on the Durand-Van Hove model is presented for forward pion-nucleon charge exchange. Moving cuts are introduced through the dependence of the mass of the exchanged spin- object. The model fits the differential cross sections quite well. The polarization predictions are quite distinct from the Reggeized absorption model, and polarization measurements at Ge will be decisive between these two models.
