Abstract

Nonscaling corrections to the scaling behavior of deep-inelastic scattering are discussed within the context of light-cone analysis. It is shown that there are both kinematical and dynamical corrections to scaling, derived from the leading and nonleading light-cone singularities, respectively. It is suggested that such corrections have already been observed, as evidenced by the improved fit to the SLAC data in the variable $ω^{'} = \frac{- q^{2}}{(2 ν + m^{2})}$ . Theoretical implications of these corrections are discussed.
