Abstract
The hard-meson current-algebra four-point functions are applied to scattering, using pole dominance of the commutators. The - and -wave scattering lengths and effective ranges are extracted. The hard-meson -wave scattering lengths differ from the soft-pion Weinberg scattering lengths by only a few percent. Energy-dependent fits up to 1 GeV and above are made. All the available experimental data on the elastic and charge-exchange cross sections and phase shifts can be fitted using the parameter .
