Abstract

If it is required that matrix elements of the SU(3)×SU(3) symmetry-violating operator in the Hamiltonian be gently varying, and that the limits of chiral symmetry and/or scale invariance be smoothly attainable, then scale invariance must be broken in the chiral-symmetry limit.
