Abstract
The scalar resonance may be present in pion pair production experiments at nonforward angles in the region of the . The consequences of this resonance in the cross section are examined in terms of the dependence of the mass suppression factor in the shape, , and the possibility of observing interference in the antisymmetric part of the cross section.
