Statistical Basis for the Many-Body Model of Matter

Abstract
The premise that physical variables must be treated as random variables is shown to yield a purely statistical basis for the many-body model of matter in both classical and quantum forms. This derivation also yields an alternative to the conventional quantum formalism in which the usual distinction between bosons and fermions does not appear.
