Abstract

A systematic study is made of the relativistic analog of the eikonal expansion. Approximate amplitudes are obtained for the scattering of a high-energy projectile off a single particle and off a compound system. For the two-body problem our results are valid for all momentum transfers, while for the three-body amplitude we obtain the relativistic analog of the Glauber formula.
