Energy Width of Ferromagnetic-Exchange Magnons in a Magnetic Field

Abstract
The energy width due to exchange scattering of magnons in a magnetic field is of the form for the energy in a ferromagnet. The factor is related to the availability of phase space for scattering and is shown to be regular at for any nonzero magnetic field, in contrast to the well-known logarithmic singular behavior for . The dependence of on is calculated and discussed.
