Local chromatic correction optics for Future Circular Collider e+e

Local Chromatic Correction optics are proposed for the Future Circular e+ − e− Collider. These new optics assume an identical layout of the magnets at all operation. The arcs design is a step forward from the classic FODO lattice that achieves near cancellation up to the fourth order of chromatic and geometric aberrations. Straight sections and final focus benefit from the application of transparency conditions. The final focus design includes additional specific sextupoles and decapoles for the optimization of the dynamics off-energy. Decapoles are very effective to mitigate the reduction of dynamic aperture due to synchrotron radiation.

Modified coherent synchrotron radiation point-kick model with self-consistent consideration of bunch length varying

A modified one-dimensional coherent synchrotron radiation (CSR) kick model that accounts for bunch length variations within dipoles is presented. Using this model, we theoretically derive CSR suppression conditions for a double-bend achromat (DBA) compressor, providing new insights into controlling CSR effects in beam dynamics.

Numerical application of the mode matching technique to the longitudinal impedance computation in particle accelerators

This study extends the mode matching technique to arbitrary three-dimensional accelerator structures, providing accurate computations of longitudinal impedance. This method overcomes the limitations of traditional numerical tools, especially for non-ultrarelativistic beams and structures with low wall losses. The results enable more precise impedance modeling, essential for stability and performance in particle accelerators.
