Institutional Open Access Agreements

Our institutional open access (OA) agreements enable eligible authors at participating institutions to publish open access in Physical Review journals at no additional cost.

These agreements are integrated into the manuscript submission and handling process and provide many benefits to authors as well as their institutions and funders:

  • No direct costs to authors and no individual article publication charge (APC) payments
  • Eligible articles are automatically identified and included; no need to opt in
  • No individual invoices, author payments, or other administrative burden
  • Authors retain the copyright to their work
  • Version of Record is published OA under a (CC BY) license
  • Published articles meet OA requirements of author’s funders and institutions

For more information, refer to our Institutional Open Access Agreement FAQ.
