Meet Our New RMP Associate Editor Olga Dudko

Olga Dudko is a theoretical physicist who studies the phenomena of the living world. Her research is driven by the notion that deep, physics-based conceptual approaches can encompass the complexity of living systems. Recent areas of research include single-molecule force spectroscopy, the spatiotemporal organization of chromosomes, virus-host cell interactions, and neuronal communication.

Olga completed her undergraduate and doctoral work in physics in Kharkiv, Ukraine. She was a postdoctoral researcher at Tel Aviv University and the U.S. National Institutes of Health. In 2007 she joined the faculty at the University of California San Diego where she is currently Professor of Physics.

Olga has been named Simons Investigator in 2022. She serves as an Associate Editor at Physical Review Letters since 2019.
