APS is pleased to announce that Margaret Hudson has been selected as chief editor of PRX Energy. Her tenure in this role began on Jan. 5, 2026.
Hudson received her B.S. in chemistry from the University of the South and her Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Chicago. She conducted postdoctoral research at North Carolina State University before joining APS as an associate editor.
Hudson has experience across several areas of materials chemistry, including the synthesis and characterization of inorganic materials and the photophysics of colloidal quantum dots. Prior to her role as chief editor, she served as an associate editor for several APS journals, including PRX Energy, Physical Review Applied, and Physical Review Materials.
The PRX Energy team is excited to have Hudson — who has been part of the journal since its launch in 2021 — step into this leading role.
