Upper Critical Field in -Wave Superconductors with Broken Symmetry

Abstract
A uniaxially anisotropic -wave interaction is shown to lead to either a polar or an axial state. We calculate the anisotropy of with the assumption that . Weak-interaction anisotropy leads to a kink in . Otherwise, our results are qualitatively similar to those for an anisotropic -wave material. Our results indicate that the anisotropy of the data obtained for U cannot be explained as intrinsic for a -wave superconductor unless .
