Abstract

The fusion of ${}^{80}{Se}$ + ${}^{80}{Se}$ has been studied near and just below the Coulomb barrier. High angular momentum components were observed by measurement of $γ$ -ray multiplicity distributions for the decay of the evaporation residues.
