Abstract

The spectacular decay mode F+pn¯ would be easily observed if the annihilation mechanism actually dominates the standard one (light-quark spectator) in the disintegrations of charmed particles. Its branching ratio would be about 102. Otherwise, it should be very rare (≃ 106) because of partial conservation of axial current.
