Observation of the Y1*(1480) in the (Σπ)+ AND (pK¯0) Systems: Comments on Spin and SU(3) Multiplet Assignment

Abstract

We have recently reported the observation of a resonance in the Λπ+ system at 1480 MeV. We have observed this same resonance decaying into the (Σπ)+ and (pK¯0) channels. The mass, width, and branching ratios for this resonance are presented. We comment on the spin of the Y1*(1480) and its possible SU(3) multiplet assignment.
