Transport and hydrodynamics in the chiral limit

Eduardo Grossi, Alexander Soloviev, Derek Teaney, and Fanglida Yan

Phys. Rev. D 102, 014042 (2020) - Published 27 July, 2020

For a thermal system with light pions, over large distances both hydrodynamic and chiral modes must be included. The authors accomplish this, and compute the leading corrections in the pion mass squared to transport coefficients. This illuminates the properties of the QCD medium at temperatures close to but below Tc.

BcBs(d) form factors from lattice QCD

Laurence J. Cooper, Christine T. H. Davies, Judd Harrison, Javad Komijani, and Matthew Wingate (HPQCD Collaboration)

Phys. Rev. D 102, 014513 (2020) - Published 23 July, 2020

The authors compute, for the first time, the form factors of the semileptonic BcBs(d) decays in the continuum limit of lattice QCD with all errors under control. They use their results to predict differential decay rates and branching fractions to be compared with future experimental results or to extract the CKM matrix elements |Vcs| and |Vcd| from them.
