Abstract

The Deck model for diffraction dissociation is revised to satisfy an eikonal representation. The theory is applied unsuccessfully to the A1 enhancement in πpρ0πp. The conventional double-Regge model of this reaction is shown to be inadequate also. Further directions are suggested.
