The hypercharge-exchange reactions $K^{-}n\to {\pi }^{-}{\Lambda }^0$, $K^{-}p\to {\pi }^0{\Lambda }^0$, ${\pi }^{-}p\to K^0{\Lambda }^0$, $K^{-}n\to {\pi }^{-}{\Sigma }^0$, $K^{-}p\to {\pi }^{-}{\Sigma }^{+}$, ${\pi }^{-}p\to K^0{\Sigma }^0$, and ${\pi }^{+}p\to K^{+}{\Sigma }^{+}$ are studied within the framework of the new interference model. It is found that the differential cross section and polarization can be predicted in reasonable agreement with experiments in the intermediate momentum range.
