Abstract
We study the generalized SU(2)×SU(2) Skyrme model, proposed by Cheung and Gürsey, with an explicit chiral-symmetry-breaking term—the nonderivative pion mass term. We calculate the static properties of nucleons and compare with results obtained in the chiral limit. We find a peculiar behavior of the calculated proton and neutron charge densities, in the context of these models.
