Abstract
Regge theory and some aspects of duality are used in order to parametrize the meson-baryon coupling constants, including first-order -breaking effects. Five of the more relevant coupling constants are expressed in terms of three unknown constants, yielding two independent sum rules. An estimate of corrections due to mass shifts is suggested.
