Abstract

Some decisive tests for dip mechanisms are proposed: measurements of density-matrix elements of $π^{+} n \to ω p$ and $π^{+} p \to ω Δ^{+ +}$ , and forward behavior of differential cross section of $η$ production. Available data seem to be in disagreement with the simple Dar-Michigan picture, and in favor of the weak-cut model.
