Abstract

The K10K20 mass difference has been measured by the "gap method" to high precision. This method is especially insensitive to possible systematic biases. The measurement yields |ΔM|=(0.534±0.007)×1010 sec1. Expressed in units of the inverse K10 lifetime, τ1=0.862×1010 sec, |δ|=0.460±0.006, or equivalently, 26.4° ± 0.3° per K10 mean decay length.
