Abstract
This work is a semiphenomenological amplitude analysis of the NN→NΔ reaction in the 1-GeV region. Fitting the asymmetry suggests this reaction to be less peripheral than often believed. Short-range contribution is introduced by adding a ρ-exchange component to the iterated pion-exchange model of Kloet and Silbar. Other spin observables are also discussed.
