Abstract

We derive the flux of muons induced by interaction of $ν_{μ}$ in rock as a function of neutrino energy and angle. Stopping muons come from relatively-low-energy neutrinos and therefore have somewhat greater potential sensitivity to neutrino oscillations than the higher-energy through-going muons, but their flux is lower.
