Abstract
Assuming broken Yakawa coupling between the octet baryons and pseudoscalar octet mesons, we discuss low-energy scattering. We obtain a broad ( MeV) resonance in the channel with mass 1750 MeV. The phase shift does not reach in the resonance region. The calculated cross section is in qualitative agreement with the experimental data near the resonance energy.
