Regge-Pole-Cut Analysis of Total Cross Sections with and Exchange Degeneracy

Abstract
A phenomenological study of and exchange degeneracy is made in a Regge-pole-cut model. The high-energy data of pion-nucleon, kaon-nucleon, nucleon-nucleon, and nucleon-antinucleon total cross sections, including the new Serpukhov data, are analyzed by means of least-squares fits with parameters corresponding to the , , , , and Regge poles and subtractive vacuum cut. The data are fitted adequately with the assumptions of and exchange degeneracy. For completeness, the data are analyzed with the assumptions of alone, exchange degeneracy alone, and also without either of these assumptions.
