Abstract
We explore the conditions which the dimensionless parameters of the SU(5) Higgs potential must satisfy in order that the potential be bounded from below. While no complete set of constraints can be written down in a transparent way, a simple algorithm is developed which determines, for given values of the parameters, whether or not the potential is bounded from below. Regions in parameter space where our vacuum is metastable are identified.
