Possibility of antisymmetric-tensor Higgs fields

Abstract
The possibility of introducing antisymmetric Higgs fields is raised, and a pattern of spontaneous symmetry breaking by an antisymmetric Higgs field is presented in terms of quartic coupling constants. A detailed application is given for breaking an SU(7) gauge symmetry to a realistic by two antisymmetric fields and .
