Abstract

Inclusive ψ distributions from B-meson decay are calculated on the basis of bψs free-quark transitions with Fermi-momentum smearing; the results may be used to test the ideas of spectator dynamics and to identify experimental BψX signals. Similar results are expected for inclusive ψ spectra from b-baryon decays. For comparison, a model based on quasi-two-body decay modes BψK, ψK*, etc., is also studied; if the lighter K* resonances dominate, the ψ spectra are broadly similar to those of the bψs model.
