Abstract

We estimate the absolute values of the light current quark masses $m_{u}$ , $m_{d}$ , and $m_{s}$ defined as parameters in the renormalized quantum-chromodynamic Lagrangian in two different ways. Our results are $m_{u} = 1.8 \pm 0.7$ MeV, $m_{d} = 4.3 \pm 1.7$ MeV, and $m_{s} = 112 \pm 66$ MeV at the renormalization-point mass $μ \sim 1$ GeV.
