Abstract

We investigate the decay modes of DK¯π and DK¯ππ on the basis of the conventional quark-diagram approach. The matrix element of P or V|(q¯1q2)|P type will be estimated by the pole approximation. The relevant coupling constants are given by an effective Lagrangian with chiral SU(4) × SU(4) symmetry. We vary the relative strength of (20pletpart)/(84pletpart) in the effective weak Hamiltonian and predict the decay rates of DK¯π and DK¯ππ relative to Γ(D0Kπ+).
