Abstract

KN (K¯N) elastic scattering is described by the new interference model in which the scattering amplitude consists of the direct-channel resonance amplitude and the Regge amplitude without the signature factor. In our study, the requirement of duality is taken into consideration. The existence of the exotic resonance Z* is discussed, and its effects on K±p scattering are examined.
