Phase transition in the nonlinear lattice field theory

Abstract
We solve for the phase diagram (phase transition) of the nearest-neighbor-coupling nonlinear scalar action. We do a one-loop calculation for the effective coupling constant, and find that the system undergoes a phase transition for dimension . For , the theory is asymptotically free.
